There are several types of health insurances that are available. There are job based policies, individual policies and also medicare and medicaid plans out there. Job based plans cost the same for all employees but in most of the states today the insurers can or may charge higher rates for individual plans. They also may deny an applicant if there is already a preexsisting medical condition. The last updated costs and premiums was $3,991 for individual plans and $10,728 for families.
Government health insurance like medicare and medicaid have a part a and part b plan. Part A is the hospital visits and Part B is for the medical coverage. The part a premium for 2012 was $244.00 a month for people having 30-39 quarters. For having less than 30 quarters the cost was $443.00 a month. The cost per month for part b was $96.40.
There is low cost health insurance out there that is offered to the people that cannot afford much. The cost varies for these plans. In order to qualify for one of these plans, individual, family, low cost single, you need to understand about the plans. For a single person choosing to not have full coverage is the smallest rate. For full coverage it goes up. For a full covered family plan that would cost the most but it is affordable.
